Immigration Laws? Do we need them?
Now those are good questions.
Far be it for me to venture into paleontology or anthropology beyond a mildly curious stroll through the dusty bookshelves. But I can’t help but observe that scholarly papers built upon scholarly papers built upon ad infinitum all began as theory and somewhere along the line the supposition of fact became an accepted statement of fact and what do we have now? Ans.: Arguments based upon extrapolated interpretation of supposed fact and somebody somewhere is making a good wage at stirring up crap.
Evidence of Evolution?
Be mindful that I classify myself from the the middle of the social/political spectrum – leaning toward the right wing – where “other” scholarly papers from the psychology world of academia have seen fit to conclude that Liberals have superior intellect over their Conservative counterparts. What a surprise that is (!) coming from the academic community. You know what they say,” Those that can DO – Those that can’t teach. ”
**This is the point where we go for the Ad Nauseum jokes.
Arguing whether or not we need immigration reform is almost like arguing the Theory of Evolution at the Vatican. Somehow over the past 150 years what used to be considered forward thinking – liberal ideals – have done a 180° turn! Some of the strongest and thickest skulls today claim to be “progressive” and “liberal” and they are stuck in a mind-set that is not flexible enough to agree on a restaurant menu. Come On People! If you don’t like the brand of toilet paper use something else! You can’t force everyone to use the same TP!! But Human Rights are not on the same platform as toilet paper or bubble gum.
Some people in this world will go without and they won’t miss it. Believe me.
It’s getting crowded in the USA and the natives are concerned.
You see………….I just have not seen the evidence of a hominid that suddenly jumped up and started to develop technology so fast that every step of mammalian biological evolution disappears somewhere between 45,000 years before Schmidlap to 300,000 years before Schmidlap plus or minus a few decimal points. Does anybody realize how big a blackboard that would be? I mean seriously – why would a perfectly content turtle snacking flies out of the swampy mist air with its tongue decide it was time to go climb a tree? Does he/she see something delicious hanging out there? Come on!! Those eyeballs are behind this clever clear rocket-boy shield thingy that allows the turtle to see underwater – and you can imagine just how clean and clear that water was without Mr. Tidy Bowl there to row around in it.
We are equal human beings. That does not mean that we are all exactly entitled to the same belongings. Some are stronger – physically and mentally. Some are male – some are female. Human Rights are one thing. You cannot legislate total equality, however. It does not work in Nature and it sure won’t work as a system of government.
There is order in the universe. You can’t change everything for the sake of change and expect things to get better. Let me wrap this up by including a quote by arguably the richest and most confused individual that ever talked out of both sides of his mouth – Bill Gates.
